Open Access Statement

All articles published in SYMPHONIA: Journal of Theory and Research Output are fully open access. The publication of an article in open-access SYMPHONIA: Journal of Theory and Research Output has become an important way to make research findings freely available for anyone to access, read, download, share, and view. Articles are published under the CC-BY-SA license as the optimal license, which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the contribution is properly cited, the use is non-commercial, and no modifications or adaptations are made.

In accordance with major definitions of open access in various literature (namely the BudapestBerlin, and Bethesda declarations), SYMPHONIA: Journal of Theory and Research Output defines open access with the following conditions:

  • Authors and copyright holders grant permission freely and without limitation to all users to read, copy, download, use, and create derivative works responsibly in accordance with the Copyright Notice without subscription or price barriers.
  • A complete version of the work and all supplemental materials, including a copy of the permission as stated above, in a suitable standard electronic format is deposited immediately upon initial publication in at least one online repository that is supported by an academic institution, or other well-established organization that seeks to enable open access, unrestricted distribution, interoperability, and long-term archiving eg. LOCKSS, CLOCKSS or PubMed.
